Since debuting over two years ago, the Air Max 270 no longer boasts the tallest Air unit. That title is currently held by the Air Max 720. And yet, the first Air Max model made exclusively for casual wear and not performance running has gone on to inform the designs of various NIKE, Inc. models (see: Jordan Mars 270, Air Max Box) – all while dominating best selling sneakers lists from as recent as 2019. A newly-surfaced red, white and blue colorway looks to continue the lifestyle option’s dominance.
While a start date for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 is up-in-the-air given the COVID-19 pandemic, the event may have inspired this upcoming patriotic Air Max 270. Mesh uppers reveal a navy base. Akin to a recent Air Max 97, the rich blue scheme continues across the throat and heel, though its arrangement on the Travis Scott Air Max 270-precursor is heavily accompanied by scarlet tones. Most branding throughout favors one of three aforementioned colors, but “AIR270” logos near the lateral collar revel in the patriotic trifecta. Down below, outsoles follow suit.
Details of a Nike.com launch are still unknown, but this Air Max 270 is likely to arrive as we approach Summer. Until then, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
This Nike Air Max 270 is now available at select retailers.
