Underneath, its smooth leathers are done up in a clean white, while its ankle collars, branded hits, and shoe strings all complement through stark black to complete a theme reminiscent of Mighty Morphin’s White Ranger. Looking closer this Jordan Westbrook One Take comes highlighted with a mixture of Mango and Orange accents across the upper. This offering of the Jordan Westbrook One Take features a mix of Mango and Orange tones throughout its upper paired with Aqua Blue contrasting accents. The mesh at the majority sets the tone with its use of light mango tones while the overlays applied behind darken by a small margin with saturated orange finishes. Further borrowing from its 1996-form, the Air Jordan 12 University Gold boasts a matte-finish across its metal eyelets. Outsoles, however, indulge in a barely-discernible, translucent makeup that blends in with its yellow surroundings. The overall colorway is very similar to the Gary Payton “Away” PE during his 2003-2004 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. The upper features black tumbled leather across the side paneling, heel and a section of the toe while University Gold paints a section of the mudguard. A black tongue and laces add a darker effect to the silhouette while a bright University Gold midsole and outsole finish off the fresh design.
While new, the Jordan Westbrook One Take has built up a lot of energy even pre-release. Recognized as the budget-friendly alternative to the athlete’s flagship, the Why Not Zer0.3, the stripped down silhouette has seen quite a few versatile colorways inclusive of Triple Black, Black Cement, and now “Black Toe” schemes.
